by Bethany Bell
Along the tragic way
I go a walkin'
I look all around me to see people so lost
Willing to find their acceptance at any cost
They seek to find their innocence
they seem to have lost
Lost along the way, the weary way
Won't anyone help them?
Or am I all alone?
Won't anybody lift a hand to save them
From this darkest pit?
Oh, Lord, would you please help me?
Help me to see through mt hyprocrisy?
For I am telling them, "Go, go and love some broken soul"
When at times I am not doing the same
They are smoking
They are drinking
They are hurting
They are lonely
They are crying
They are dying
Father, would you please
Draw them tight?
Give me the ablity it takes to reach them
Give me the compassion it takes to see them
This is such a good (true) poem! It would make a great movie for youth group...:)
